1.14.06 :: Pobba leads a Sing-Along at the California Kindergarten Association’s
annual conference. At
the Santa Clara
Convention Center,
hundreds of teachers
learn to sing
about drippy PB&J sandwiches, why some kids never go to sleep, and what to do when you find marshmallows glued to your shoe! The CKA facilitates quality education for kindergarteners by promoting early childhood education and advancing the professionalism of kindergarten and other early childhood educators. Pobba’s Teacher’s
Guide suggests
ways to use the
tunes in class.
Musical fun! ...with
emphasis on social
and academic standards
as a subtle plus.

2.03.05 :: The world came together to help victims of the tsunami. The effort continues. Pobba is donating two concerts and $5 for each CD sold at the shows. See show details, schedule your own benefit -- contact Pobba. |

9.14.04
:: On
vacation in Montana, Pobba
is strolling through the tiny town
of East Glacier Park when he spots
a teacher coming out of a school
at 4 p.m. Moments later Pobba is
chatting with the principal, and
the next morning at 9 a.m. he is
singing for all the kids K-5 and
a few 7th graders (Alex, Kelsey,
Connor, Derek, and Josh) who love
music and performance. Very small
school…very small crowd (only
21 kids)…but very big enthusiasm!

2-21-03,
Redwood City, CA :: "Pobba
Among the Cub Scouts"
High energy at Pack 61's Blue and Gold Dinner. Kids compared Pobba's
outrageous "I'm Making
Dinner" recipes to Mom's potluck offerings. Cubs Scouts shouted
that they'd eat all the "Marshmallows" Pobba
could sing about, no matter how yukky! And Pobba realized that Cub Scouts
are the unchanged (thank heaven!) since his last Blue and Gold Dinner
47 years ago!

11-21-02,
New York :: "Pobba
Lights up Lives in NYC!"
Two shows at FAO Schwarz for the 14th Annual "Light Up a Life" benefit
for New York Presbyterian Hospital/Cornell Medical College, a singing
visit to the pediatrics ward at the hospital, and high-spirited, fun-filled
performances at The Spence School and St. Bernard's School... Wow! Pobba
(and the kids!) had a great time in The Big Apple.

10-31-02,
San Francisco :: Absolutely
no one was scared when Pobba
participated in the annual Halloween
Heroes event at San Francisco's
FAO Schwarz!
Along with dozens
of local sports and media stars, Pobba
greeted and entertained over 500 kids
and their parents in an evening of
fun organized by the Wender Weis Foundation
for Children for the benefit of the
Junior Giants. Pobba
donated hundreds of specially
recorded CDs
for the occasion.
